World Music Workshop - Intercultural musical improvisation for students

Kulturgut e.V./Academy for living Arts is offering 2 intercultural world music workshops focusing on the art of improvisation and the dialogue between eastern /classical indian and western musical styles from 12.12.-19.12.2010 & 2.-9.1.2011 in Essen, Germany (European Capital of Culture 2010). The course is open to university students and is encouraging intercultural & stylistic exchange and communication via the universal language of music. The fee is 105,- Euro per course (incl. accommodation). 
The classes are conducted by the indian
bansuri (an indian bambus flute) master and bollywood composer
Dinesh Mishra (http://www.myspace.com/dineshflute). The seminary
will be held in english (and of course in the transnational language of music).

The Project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).
